This picture is a deep canyon with a raging river running down it, at the base of Mt. Rainier. the canyon is probably 150-200 ft deep!
The Hard Rain Cafe. Obviously a play on hard rock cafe... This is a small cozy diner / merchant / convenience store just at the mouth of the Hoh Rain Forest, one of the only rain forests in the Continental US! The owners were very friendly, and we ate some delicious food here:)
This is right at the top of a large, broad waterfall that is feature in some other pictures. 
I'm note sure what kind of bird this is, but he flew in and landed on a branch about 3 feet above my head. it was like he was posing for the picture!
